Egypt is a country in which automotive industry and assembly are progressively growing.  Many international companies such as Peugeot, Chevrolet, Nissan, Suzuki, Mercedes, BMW, Skoda, Lada, Mitsubishi etc established assembly lines in Egypt to cover its vast growing market as well as the neigbouring countries.

This industry is very demanding for high precision, quality control and safety measures. Therefore the Calibration and Measurements in Automotive Industry & Services (CMAIS) Conference & Exhibition (21-25 January 2009) are organized to cover the immediate needs of the industry.
