The "University of Brussels Hospital" (UZ Brussel) and Royal Hayat Hospital (RHH) of Kuwait signed an agreement on Friday 24th July 2009 to open a fertility clinic in Kuwait which will also serve as an education center for in vitro fertilisation in the Middle East.

This "first" agreement between Kuwait and Belgium hospitals is an extremely important project and achievement will be tremendous in the coming years.

Kuwait will be the first kind of center that "U.Z. Brussel" is opening in the world.

The signing of the Agreement between R.H.H. represented by Mr Ahmad Al Ghannam, Chairman ,and Prof Marc Noppen, CEO of "UZ Brussel" took place in the presence of H.E. Mrs Nabeela Al-Mulla, Ambassador of Kuwait in Belgium and Mr Qaisar Hijazin, Secretary General of the Arab-Belgium-Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce.

Please note that the first contacts between the two hospitals took place during the economic mission organized by our Chamber to Kuwait in March 2009 and we wish to see more exchange visits between the medical students and doctors between Kuwait and Belgium.
